- AWS DevOps Engineer

ROLE INFO:
This is an initial 6-month contract (C2C or W2), but very very likely to get extensions due to the nature of this project and from previous experiences working with this Fixed Income provider.

COMPANY:
Working for leading Fixed Income provider that manages over $850b of assets! They are based out of their new state of the art offices in Newark, New Jersey.
As an organization, they are currently going through a technology “reboot” to change the way IT within the business is working. This involves a full shift to a product-based environment and a full Agile transition
ROLE:
This “reboot” involves building out the DevOps team and it’s methodology. While also implementing AWS into the business. So what they need is someone with both on-premises and AWS experiance. As they are currently determining what can be moved onto AWS, and what proprietary info must stay on-premises.
YOU WILL HAVE;
- 4+ years of engineering, architecting, and delivering infrastructure technology solutions.
- Experience implementing DevOps or CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Bitbucket/GIT, Confluence, Gradle).
- Strong understanding of server configuration (Ansible) and open-source (Xray) management.
SKILLS/ TECH; AWS, CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform

- Experience with messaging tools (Kafka, JMS, AMQP)
- Familiarity with open-source software licensing, best practice, and sustainability.
